Library Card Sign-up Month

Our school libraries are incredible, but we don't have the resources that are available to our public libraries.
ALL students in the Cameron R-1 School District are able to get a free card from the
Cameron Public Library.
JoEllen and her staff would love to see you there. If you are unable to make it to the library, never fear!
The Cameron Public Library staff will make sign-ups available at Student-Led Conferences on Thursday, April 4th. We hope you'll take advantage of this opportunity to open a world of audio books, ebooks, and print books to your child.

50th Annual Literature Festival!

Thirty-eight CVMS students, along with 9 adults enjoyed a day on the campus of the University of Central Missouri in Warrensburg. This was the site of the 50th Annual Children's Literature Festival. A day when authors and illustrators from all over the country gather to share their craft with young people. Among the authors we saw this year were- Mary Downing Hahn, Alan Gratz, Mary Casanova, Jack Gantos, Cheryl Harness, and C.B. Cheaney.
Students earn this field trip by reading the current Mark Twain and Truman nominees. To quote a CVMS student, "It was awesome!"

Our students with author Alan Gratz. One of our favorites!!!
